Goodbye Season 1....Season 2 Is Coming Soon!

What started as an experiment somehow became a time capsule—of squirrels, tangents, and a lot of laughs. In this Season 1 finale, we reflect on our favorite moments, how Jordan went from podcast novice to certified co-host, and what it’s like podcasting while five months pregnant. There’s a lot of love, a lot of nostalgia, and yes—one final showdown over household temperatures. Plus, why this podcast might become the most chaotic baby diary of all time.

Take our survey!

Takeaways:

“From Terrified to Tangent King” – Jordan opens up about how he really felt starting the podcast—and what finally helped him feel at home in front of the mic.

“The Squirrel Metaphor Is Real” – What does ADHD sound like in podcast form? According to Lauran… a “terror of squirrels.”

“From Podcast to Parenting Time Capsule” – The duo imagines their unborn child one day listening back to these episodes. What lessons (and cautionary tales) will they uncover?

“Survey Says…” – The audience has power! Lauran and Jordan invite fans to help shape Season 2 with a listener survey—plus, settle the household thermostat war once and for all.

“This Was Never Just a Show” – Lauran and Jordan reflect on how the podcast has become more than content—it’s become a place to share life, love, and chaos with a growing community.

Theme: [00:00:00] We are Fine.

Lauran: Hi guys. What's up? It's been. A season.

Jordan: Why don't you tell them what we're doing here first? I know before you jump into it, man, but I,

Lauran: I'm just, I, you know, me just always, always jumping into pink,

Jordan: jumping into the sharks.

Lauran: Um, yeah. So today we thought we would just do like a real quick, like little season one recap, and then we're gonna, you know, reflect on our favorite moments of the, of the first season of this show, and then what we wanna do for like next season.

Yeah. And I can't believe we've already like gotten one season done.

Jordan: I know. We have one season under the belt.

Lauran: I know. It's like it's, we will [00:01:00] no

Jordan: longer, well, I guess you weren't a podcast freshman. I was a podcast freshman. Yeah, you were more better. You're not a f you're not a, not a podcast freshman anymore.

Anymore. You're a sophomore.

Lauran: I'm a

Jordan: podcast sophomore. The acne's starting to go down.

Lauran: Aw, you got your braces off.

Jordan: Yes. The braces are off. The podcast braces are off now, dude,

Lauran: not me. I got, I had braces until right before my senior year of high school. Don't ask. Oh, I'm sorry. It was not a fun time.

Jordan: You know what you don't like?

Lauran: What?

Jordan: That the people dunno. I never had braces and you hate me for that.

Lauran: Listen, I, I am jealous and. You never had any kind other teeth issues, only your wisdom teeth. Yeah, that was it. Lucky duck. Well back on this. I thought like some of my favorite episodes were the ones where we kind of just like got to tell stories about our life.

Jordan: Yeah, I like those ones a lot.

Lauran: It's always fun. Like that's, those are some of my favorite episodes because I just like sitting and like reminiscing and then we, I don't know if you guys have noticed, but we tend [00:02:00] to like go off on tangents.

Jordan: You don't say I,

Lauran: it's very subtle, but I mean,

Jordan: as subtle. Has a load of bricks in the back, I think.

Lauran: Yeah. Yeah. That's subtle. Um, but it, that, that is just, that's me and my a DH, ADHD to a t is like, you'll say something and it just reminds me of like 17 other memories that I have to talk about right then and there, or I'll forget. And so the tangents, they just happen and it's a fun time. It's a rollercoaster ride.

What, what?

Jordan: It's just you're just squirrels all over the place. I'm,

Lauran: I'm not, I'm not just one squirrel. I'm like a pack of squirrels in my head. Pack of squirrels. I'm, is that what a group of

Jordan: squirrels is called?

Lauran: No. A a group of squirrels is called something else. I have a book at school. A-D-H-D-I have a book at school that is all about, uh, animal groupings and like what they're called.

Oh,

Theme: so

Lauran: like, what isn't like a. Oh, what is it called? A murder [00:03:00] of Crows. Murder of

Jordan: crows. That's my favorite.

Lauran: Yeah. I forget what the, I forget what the squirrels are, but I think squirrels had a different name.

Jordan: I really want them to be named something like a terror of squirrels.

Lauran: Terror of squirrels. We'll have to fact check that.

'cause that's, that's my, that's what my brain looks like all day, every day. A terror of squirrels just running around, which makes sense for this podcast, but you know, we're fine. Yeah, we're

Jordan: fine.

Lauran: Um, what was your favorite, or what were your favorite episodes to film? Um, what do you think?

Jordan: I mean, I had an enjoyable time doing this.

I did like, I. I liked a lot of What, what's that last chord?

Lauran: You? Just, the way you said that just made me chuckle. I had an enjoyable time. Oh, you know, shut

Jordan: up y'all. I think the worst part was my co-host.

Lauran: I know. She's awful.

Jordan: So rude. Um, it's the squirrel. Yeah. That tear of squirrel. Co-host. Um, um, no, I, I had a lot of fun doing.

I, [00:04:00] this is my first time doing any podcast really making like.

Lauran: Being on the internet in

Jordan: the content sphere? Yeah, I'm usually just outside the content

Lauran: sphere. Sometimes I reel you into the content sphere, but for the most part you, you exist in like a lawn chair right off right outside. The border of the context sphere, which is my comfort

Jordan: zone.

I really like that zone. So, but

Lauran: did you, like, do you feel more comfortable now doing this?

Jordan: I feel a lot more comfortable than when I first started I was terrified. I know. First day I was so nervous. Well, 'cause I remember when,

Lauran: when we first started talking about this idea and like doing just a podcast together in general, that like I made sure to ask you if you were okay with doing it.

Yeah. Because like I know that you enjoy being behind the camera, not in front of it all the time. Yes. So I was like, this is something. Like really outside your comfort zone. And I think it'll be fun for us, but I want you to enjoy it, obviously.

Jordan: Well, I was gonna say, um, I like what made [00:05:00] me scared the most was, um, I did not think I was gonna be able to talk for like 30 plus minutes just straight.

That is not, that is like,

Lauran: that is not exclusive to your feelings. Yeah. I promise, like, at least from someone who. Like, has done this before, like even when I had three other co-hosts at a time. Yeah. I still felt that way. I was like, how are we gonna fill this time with like enough to talk about, is anyone gonna have enough to say?

Like, but that's what the tangents ha like how the tangents have Yeah. See the tangents help they do your,

Jordan: your terror

Lauran: of squirrels helps. Yes. See, it's just, it works out. Like you go in with kind of a game plan. Yeah. And then it just kind of, you know. Evolves from there. You

Jordan: have a framework.

Lauran: Yeah.

Jordan: The terror, squirrels come in, they knock down the framework, and then you just peel, pick up the pieces, rebuild.

That's how that works. And you rebuild it on the fly. Oh my God. No. [00:06:00] I, I, I enjoyed, I. A lot of the different things just because I never really done any of this. Like

Lauran: yeah, this was kind of a fun like experiment because, yeah, because this was like the first season of our show where we're still trying to like, we're still trying to find our show's identity guys.

Like we don't know. We don't know who we are or what we are.

Jordan: Speaking of that, how can they help to do that?

Lauran: Oh, there's a survey. There is a survey. If you want, you could fill out the survey. If you go to, we are find pod.com/survey. You can fill it out and let us know like what you liked and what you maybe think we should do more of in the next season.

Jordan: Also, most importantly is there is one question that pertains to household temperatures,

Lauran: and you should definitely, the

Jordan: correct answer is below 70 degrees above 70 degrees.

Lauran: That's above,

Jordan: below 70

Lauran: degrees.

Jordan: 70 degrees. You want less than 70

Lauran: above. More than 70.

Jordan: I'll fight you on the internet fight you.

Lauran: But, um, that will, that will help us with a lot of feedback from you guys, because like I said, [00:07:00] this whole season has been like one giant experiment of just like.

What do we want this to be? Trying different

Theme: things. Yeah.

Lauran: Like I like our producers are awesome and one of our producers created all the fun games that we played. Yeah. Using chat, GPT, like he literally made them.

Theme: Mm-hmm.

Lauran: And it's, I'm like, they were so impressive that, you know, I didn't know I was, I knew you could do that.

But yeah,

Jordan: I think the impressive part for me is. Like when it's running, it's really impressive. But if you look at the back like instructions for it. Yeah. Because sometimes when I use chat GPT, I'm just like, do this thing please.

Lauran: Right. And we'll just let it loose and see what happens. And this is a

Jordan: very detailed document that's fed in the chat, GPT, and I was like very intricate.

Wow, that's impressive. Here I am just bashing rocks together apparently.

Lauran: But those were really fun because like, I don't know if you guys noticed either. We're kind of nerdy.

Jordan: No, no. [00:08:00] We're nerds,

Lauran: but the in the best way. And I just like, I liked being able, that was like something that I feel like is a little different from my content.

Yeah. As like a teacher online and now like kind of parenting content, I guess. I don't wanna call it parenting 'cause we're not even there yet, but like family content I guess. But. I, I liked getting to show that side of us because we don't really Yeah. Show it a ton. And it was nice to like be able to just embrace being a nerd for a little bit.

I think

Jordan: everyone's known I'm a nerd.

Lauran: No. 'cause you've been living outside of the content sphere. I.

Jordan: No, there was one piece of content where for my birthday you made an impromptu DDI did thing for my birthday. And you very much specified in the video. You were like, I'm doing this because my husband's a nerd.

Right? So I think, I think everyone's not surprised about me. I think you are the wild card. [00:09:00]

Lauran: I enjoy being a nerd though. I love it. It's, I'm sorry. Just be who you are. 'cause it's just fun to just let your flat into Right. Just be into what you're into. Who cares? Yeah. So I, I liked doing those things because it was, that was like something that was very much in our wheelhouse Yep.

That we haven't really posted content about. So it was fun to like, experiment with some of those games.

Jordan: It was, it was fun to get, for me the last couple episodes with the. More like storytelling, the DD games. Yeah. Yeah. It was fun for me because like when I listened to podcasts, I listened to a lot of like actual play podcasts.

Yeah. Like actual play DD podcasts. And it was fun to kind of get to,

Lauran: to like emulate them for a little bit. Yeah. To

Jordan: emulate like the Mcy Brothers or like Matt Mercer.

Lauran: Oh well I like Hello from the Magic Tavern. I like that one. Arnie

Jordan: Knee Camp. Arnie

Lauran: Knee Camp. That's okay. I was like, there's a name. Yep.

Jordan: There's

Lauran: a name. I know, but I can't put my tongue on it. No. Yeah, it

Jordan: was fun to get to

Lauran: Put my [00:10:00] tongue on it. Put my finger on it. It's on the tip of my tongue. Don't you love when you combine two phrases and they just, it sounds really weird.

Jordan: Might be a little weird.

Lauran: That was weird.

Jordan: Might be a little weird.

Just hold my, lemme just put my tongue on the microphone. Do the squirrels just

Lauran: collided? That's what happened.

Jordan: Oh, that what that is?

Lauran: Yeah.

Jordan: Your squirrels are running around and then eventually they just collide and cause like, do you know

Lauran: that the one episode of SpongeBob where it's like, what's going on inside SpongeBob's head and it's just.

Like a room with a million SpongeBobs SpongeBobs

Jordan: running around. Everything's on fire. Yeah. And the filing

Lauran: cabinets are just overflowing the papers. That's the squirrels. Yeah.

Jordan: Yeah. Gotcha. That makes sense. Mm-hmm. I think, I think everything makes sense now. Does it? It's unlocked, it's clear.

Lauran: Hmm. Look at that.

Jordan: Oh man.

Lauran: But I think for this next season, I'm really excited to share more of like our journey. Becoming parents. Yeah.

Jordan: I think that'll be fun.

Lauran: Yeah. Like we have so many stories to tell and just like [00:11:00] you worst, even just being five months pregnant now, having so many experiences. Yeah. To share and just laugh about.

Jordan: You know what I like about this too is one thing this could become. Depending on how people react with the surveys at, uh, not hello, at we're fine pod.com/survey. If you wanna take that survey. Just throwing that back out there. But no, uh, with how they react with like the survey and everything, like if we get to tell more of like our stories of like different things like either we're just like silly moments and stuff like that.

It could become like a little diary for our little. Pee pod that's coming

Theme: Yeah. About

Jordan: things. Hey, don't be like your dad and do this because this is what happens when you're an idiot. And choose to Yeah, that's true. Go sled riding down a set of stairs

Lauran: or like, oh, that just made me feel so, oh my God. You know how people will like, make, um, memory books for like their children?

Yeah. Or like, it could be, it's like a video [00:12:00] diary. You're right. It's like a don't. Don't be like dad, don't be like Dad. No. There, it's, it's like a little video diary that like he can listen to when he is

Jordan: older. Yeah.

Lauran: Oh my God, I love that. A bunch of

Jordan: life advice from my stupid mistakes.

Lauran: That's so nice because like even just, just thinking of that from like a sentimental like parent aspect, if you think back like how many.

Memories. How many video memories or photo memories do you have from your childhood? I

Jordan: think, well, that's what I was gonna say is I think at least is the, like these

Lauran: generations that like came after the, the creation of the smartphone Yeah. Are so like lucky to have those memories because I would, I would kill to be able to go back and watch like home videos and things like that.

Mm-hmm. [00:13:00] When we were little and stuff like that. And just relive those moments.

Jordan: Yeah.

Lauran: And they'll be able to do that. And I kind of love that. And that's honestly like part of the reason I love being, I love like making social media content. Mm-hmm. And like making videos as a teacher and you know, making videos about our life because it's fun to go back and watch those memories too.

Oh yeah.

Jordan: It's a time capsule. It really is like, keeps growing and it really

Lauran: is. It's one giant time capsule. As long as.

Jordan: Things don't get banned. Um, they're still there.

Lauran: Well, and the lucky thing is they all saved my phone so I can still watch them anyway. Oh, yay. That. Yeah. So like, I, I love that. I didn't even think of it like that, but yeah, so that's like kind of what I'm excited to share in the next.

The next season. I'm just,

Jordan: I think the other thing, the only other thing is that I'm really excited for as we continue this experiment is finding more ways for our listeners and watchers and everything to keep, like, to become involved. Yeah. Like I kind of want this to have like a little family feel to [00:14:00] it.

Like I like, I like the idea of this as an experiment where we get to kind of change and mess around with the format depending on what people want. Just because it makes, it keeps it fresh. It keeps it fun. I just like. Hanging out and doing things. So,

Lauran: I mean, I like, I

Jordan: don't really,

Lauran: I like making the content.

Yeah. But I also like making things that, that you guys enjoy watching or listening to. Mm-hmm. So that's why like, I think your feedback is so crucial and I'm just, I'm really like thankful for all of you that have been listening or watching the podcast, like whether you're our family and friends or people we haven't met before, I.

Really, really appreciate that you would take the time outta your day or you know, your drive to work or wherever to, to let us into your ear holes. I, I, I appreciate you and I

Jordan: thank you for sharing your ear holes. Thank you for sharing

Lauran: your ear holes with us. And it's been, it's been a [00:15:00] really fun.

Experiment for this first go round. So I'm excited to see what next season has in store. Yeah.

Jordan: One last time. Where can they take that survey to influence where the show goes?

Lauran: We are fine. pod.com/survey. Please do it. I know it's, it's, it is a few questions, but they're all for the benefit of us making better content for you guys and also me winning.

A bet against Jordan on the correct temperature for household, which again is above 70 degrees. No

Jordan: above. No, it is below precisely. I'm just gonna say it's precisely 69 degrees, which is what it is in this household right now, and it is glorious. It's perfect. I'm always cold. It's the perfect temperature.

See, here's my reason, here's my rationale. We're just gonna get into this. Here's my rationale, ma'am. I can't do anything. [00:16:00] When it gets hot, I just sweat. There's nothing I can do to stop sweating. I'm saying

Lauran: you should be you on and sweating. I'm saying it should be a comfortable temperature where I'm not turning into an icicle.

Jordan: I start sweating at anything above 69 degrees.

Lauran: Exactly that.

Jordan: Exactly that. So it is where coldblooded, am I coldblooded then?

Lauran: No, you'd be.

Jordan: Blooded. Oh

Lauran: yeah. 'cause if you're coldblooded, you're like a lizard and they need heat lamps. Yeah.

Jordan: Correct. See, you're the opposite. Yeah, the opposite. I'm a lizard. You're a lizard.

You're, you're a lizard person. I'm a

Lauran: lizard person, and you're not.

Jordan: Right. Well.

Lauran: If you're also a, a fellow lizard person, please make sure you vote for above 70 degrees below 70 many degrees. Any who? Our final, any who on this season, final, any of the season. Thank you guys so much for [00:17:00] Thank you hanging out with us for a season and we hope that you'll continue, um, listening or watching however you like to enjoy this podcast.

Uh, in season two because we love you guys and we love sharing this time with you and being able to share our lives with you. So thank you.

Jordan: Yeah, thank you. So we do have to read off some names. That's why the iPad miraculously became sentient in my hands.

Lauran: That's right.

Jordan: Who are the hosts with the most?

Lauran: I'm one of your hosts, Lauren Wooley,

Jordan: and I'm the host with least. Jordan Woolley Stop.

Lauran: This podcast is also executive produced by Guess Who? Lauren and Jordan Woolley.

Jordan: Also Aaron Corny. Rob Goldman and Ashanti Brooks.

Lauran: Woo.

Jordan: Our editor is Andrew Sims.

Lauran: What's his title? Jason?

Jordan: Oh, the engineer.

Lauran: Engineer. I want to say he's the

Jordan: engineer.

Lauran: I don't know what I was gonna say. I was gonna say something else. Working

Jordan: those podcast gears.

Lauran: I [00:18:00] know. I'm Listen guys, our engineer, it's pregnancy Brain is no joke. Our engineer is Jason Port. There we go. And our music is by Ooma Bens V. And this has been, we Are Fine, which is a human content production, but
